Bibi Provence

Bibi Provence also known as BB Smooth was born on the 24th of February 1963 in Curacao. Her music career began with singing in the children’s choir of her father Etzel Provence at the age of four.  BB Smooth had her first musical in the pocket when she was just 4 years old with the musical Bah September.
BB Smooth studied professional music for three years at the conservatory Berklee college of music in the United States. She was also featured in an American movie with the song “El Calle”. BB Smooth made herself well known in the antilles as being the first jazz singer from the Dutch Antilles to perform in the first Aruba’s Jazz, Latin and Curacao jazz festival in 1988.
Bibi also received many awards, she received the Galardon Vitrola (Grammy Award in Curacao) as being the best singer on the island. In 1986 Bibi released her first album called “This time”, produced by David Ronchi Matthew.

Now Bibi is taking another direction. In 2019 she got to know a young talent piano player called Gavin Offerman from Curacao. Gavin and Bibi both had the same dream, but both got discouraged along the way. But that day she met him was a blessing for her as they have already performed three times together.
